How to Locate, and Download Intel Drivers
If you are having problems with an Intel hardware device, you probably need to install an Intel driver or driver update. This page will show you how you can easily download and install the driver for your Intel hardware at no cost to you.
How to Find the Drivers You Need on Intel's Website
Intel's website is easy to navigate so that you can find what you need. For purposes of our example, we will find and download an Intel WiFi driver.
You can find the site at www.intel.com -- you may need to choose your location from a menu or map. You will want to find the "Support and Downloads" link. Depending on your location, this may be under the "Work" menu or the "Support" menu on the left-hand side of the page.

This will take you to the Support page. Once there, you can choose to browse for your driver, or to have Intel's website try and detect which drivers you have (and which ones you need).
For our example, we will go to the bottom of the drop down menu and select "Wireless Networking".

You'll then need to click on the "Select a Product" drop down menu and find your device (the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection for our example). (NOTE: You'll need to use these three menus regardless of what product you're trying to fix.)
From the third menu that appears, click on "Download Drivers and Software."

This will take you to the Download Center. You will need to choose your operating system and then select "Drivers" under the "Download Type" heading.
You will then be able to select your driver, (for our example, it is the Intel® PRO/Wireless and WiFi Link Drivers- Only for Windows 7*)

Click on the file you need, as shown above.

A new page will show you the specifications of your driver. Click on "Download" and accept the terms and agreement when prompted.

Then, save the file to your computer. If given the choice, save it to your desktop or somewhere easy to find and remember.

How to Install Your Intel Driver
Now, double-click on the file you downloaded. The Intell InstallShield Wizard will walk you through the installation. Once you have installed your Intel driver, you will need to restart your computer.
