How to Locate, and Download IBM Drivers
Is your IBM hardware not working right--or not even working at all? If the device isn't broken but won't work with your computer, or if your computer won't even recognize it, then you probably need to install new IBM drivers.
This actually isn't too difficult. This page will walk you step-by-step through finding, downloading, and installing new IBM drivers for your computer.
How to Find the Right IBM Driver via the IBM Website
First of all, follow the following steps:
Go to the official IBM website at www.ibm.com.
Click on the "Support and Downloads" link on the menu bar at the top of the page.

Now that you are on the Support & Downloads page, you will need to pick what kind of system you're using. Then click the blue circle with the arrow in it. We are using "System X" for our example.

Then you will need to select the make and model of your computer, as well as the operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.) (See screenshot below).
Click on the round blue "Go" button.

The site will show you a list of drivers and software updates. Then you will need to select the appropriate driver for your system. If you're not sure which one to use, pick the most recent update. Then click the blue link underneath the date.

You will then be taken to a new page that lists the technical specs and system requirements for the download you selected. If this matches up with your computer, click the blue link at the bottom of the page. If not, hit the "Back" button on your browser and select a different update.

Click the "I Agree" or "I Accept" button when the license agreement window appears. While the site recommends an FTP download, you should be fine with an HTTP download as well.

Save the file to your computer. If given the option, save it to your desktop or other easy-to-remember location.

How to Install Your IBM Driver or Driver Update
Double-click on the file you just downloaded, and follow the instructions and prompts. You may need to use the UpdateXPress System Pack Installer. This should be available from the website if you don't already have it on your computer.

You will need to restart your computer to finish the installation. If this doesn't fix your IBM hardware device problems, repeat the process and select a different IBM driver.
