If your computer is not playing video correctly, you have two options. You can either find the latest video card drivers for your computer or take it into a computer repair shop and let them find the drivers for you. Since it is a lot cheaper to update the video card drivers yourself, we are providing instructions.
Find the Right Drivers Manually
To find the correct driver, you will need to know the name of your video card. You will find this information in the Device Manager. To get to the Device Manager, click Start -> Control Panel -> Systems and Security -> Systems -> Device Manager. Then expand the “Display adapters” and “Monitors”. This will tell you all the drivers you need to update.
Update them one at a time by going to the manufacturer’s website. Find the section titled either “Support” or “Downloads”. Then find the exact driver you need and download it to your desktop.
Install the New Drivers Manually
To install the new drivers, you will need to go back to the Device Manager. Expand the category again and right click the driver you wish to update. Then select “Update Drivers” and choose the option where you update it yourself. Navigate to where you downloaded the driver and choose that as the new driver. Finally, follow the onscreen instructions to finish the installation.
Find, Download and Install the New Video Drivers Automatically
You can skip all of the above and get the latest video card drivers automatically in less than two minutes. All you need to do is click “Scan”, “Download” and “Install” and the driver update software will do the rest for you. The process is automated so you will not have to know anything about your video card to do it.
Find the latest video card drivers for your computer and get your video back working again.
