While USB printers are plug n play, they still need drivers to work properly. The only difference is Windows has pre-installed drivers to make the printer work. Manually finding the new drivers will require you to go to the printer’s website (Epson, Lexmark, Canon, etc). Then you will need to find their “Support” or “Download” page. When you find that page, search for your exact printer model because new drivers will only work if they are made for your exact printer.
